Tybee Island Oceanfront Vacation Beach House Rentals
We offer one or both sides of our oceanfront beach house by the week or
for as few as three nights in the off season. Both sides have a wrap around
screened porch facing the ocean. The living rooms overlook natural dunes and
a wide view of the Atlantic. In fact, nearly every room in the
house has an ocean view. The beach is just on the other side of our private crossover through the natural dunes.
The house is located in a quiet residential section of Tybee, away from the
public beach parking lots.

A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, disposal,
range, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, dishes,

washer and dryer and all linens. |
Each side has a master bedroom on the main level and two bedrooms on the
upper level. A garage and storage space is at the ground level. Floorplans
At the edge of the large open yard is a private boardwalk,
over the dunes, to the beach. The five mile long beach is sandy and
wide. The surf is usually gentle. We are in the middle of the beach,
away from the public parking lots and crowded commercial areas at either end
of the island. This is real oceanfront, facing the Atlantic Ocean, not
the river side of the island.
Tybee (pronounced Tie-bee) is a moderately developed island community
with lots of beach town charm. The Island has a functioning lighthouse with a museum. The
newly restored Pavilion is a short walk on the beach away. There are plenty of shops and
restaurants on the Island and nearby. A small grocery store is a short walk from the
house. There is a public fishing pier on the Back River, a ball field and a small park on

Fort Pulaski, a Civil War fortress with tours offered by the National
Park Service, is only 2 miles from the house. Tybee is a great starting point for sea
kayakers wishing to tour the natural coast. www.seakayakgeorgia.com

(Tybee is usually a bit warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than
Savannah).
Tybee Island is 17 miles east of Savannah, Georgia. Hilton Head Island
is 6 miles away by water, the drive is about 45 miles. Jacksonville, Florida is 140 miles
south. Charleston, South Carolina is 120 miles north. Atlanta, Georgia is 250 miles
northwest.
